Bird-themed spells + spells from Dragon mag

Hi there,

Does anyone know whether someone has put together a list of raptor (or more generally, bird) themed spells? You know, feather, flight-related spells, plus any sorts of things that can be interpreted or reinterpreted as belonging to that theme (even something like Spectral Hand can be reflavored to involve an incorporeal bird that flies around delivering touch spells).

Also, does there exist a list of spells that have appeared in Dragon magazine for D&D 3.x? I have almost all the mags since 3.0 but I can't remember all the spells in them and thought it would be neat if there were a spell list with the minidescriptions and issue numbers out there.

really any spell can be redesigned to fit a theme

want a fireball - a flaming pheonix burst into being for a moment causing fire damage to all it touches

Actually, a blend of those two ideas sounds appealing to me, namely a 3rd level spell that summons a flock (or murder) of birds that claw and/or bite at all in an area and then dissapear. It would be like Fireball but it would do piercing and slashing damage. Would that make it appreciably more/less powerful than regular Fireball? On the one hand energy resistance can't help against it, but on the other hand, damage resistance would apply when it wouldn't to fire.

What do you think?
