Plant Growth, Entanglement, Blade Barrier

Recently, one of my characters, when I was a player, casted Plant Growth, then Entanglement, and finally Blade Barrier. In that order. Even if the oppenents saved from Entanglement, and were reduced to half-speed, the Plant Growth reduced their speed even more. It was tough for them to get out of the Blade Barrier. That's a lot of damage to be dished out to anyone caught in that combination. Of course, it took me 3 rounds to set it up. I did not have haste or any metamagic feats to help set this up faster, but in the future, I'll be sure to do something to make it happen faster.

LT :D

I got to do a cool "tactic" the other night. We were fighting aboard some sort of slave galley in the middle of the ocean. This galley was manned by orc pirates, and it was armed with catapults and ballista's. During combat, an orc jumped on top of a ballista to attack me. During my turn I waved good bye to him and pulled the trigger =) He went for a nice swim.

in a game i play in, the DM ruled that the Grease spell actually created (or summoned) grease. grease is flammable, add Burning Hands and you get 10 feet by 10 feet of crispy goodness for one round per caster level:D

How did she get the Line of Effect to the spells that were outside the sphere?
(EDIT: Added SRD quote)

D'oh!

Well, all's well that ends well; I also mistakenly let a flamestrike hit her, not realizing that cylinders work like bursts. I'll have to let my players know that that battle contained equal and opposite errors. :)

Thanks for setting me straight on this, guys!

We just played today and I have to share this one.
Came across a cleric that was very annoying as she was prepared for us. Anyway, I cast chains of vengeance on her (BOEM) and as she was really strong, it look like she would get out of it sooner or later.
Another player was in melee with her and just tripped her. She couldnt do much about it and couldnt draw the AoO from the trip so fell flat on her back and wasnt able to get back up. Before the coup de grace was felled, she was killed normally as we didnt know she was down that low.

So yeah, trip them when they cant fight back.

We have a rogue/shodowdancer in our party,
when you put the sneak attack in with the hide in plain sight and the expert tactician, you have the ability to do a little damage.

A DM of mine once put a *very* obvious looped rope on the dungeon floor from some goblyns (those red bastards from ravenloft). in it was a plate with a note "put bait here". I searched for traps and found nothing (but I didn't realize that the DM rolled very badly for me. *again*). So I just cut the rope. And then the trapdoor opened....

Combat Reflexes, Movement Check (Same thing as Stand Still, just not psionic), and a reach weapon. Anything without reach or a 5 to 1 advantage is completely screwed. Realistically, it takes a 6:1 or higher advantage for my opponents to actually get within melee range of me long enough to hit me more than once.
