Black Dagger Game Design vs Terrorism

I will post this here and if the moderators feel this is an unappropiate post they may move or delete it. As you well may know, the city of London was bombed by terroist in real life today. First, Black Dagger Game Designs wishes to express smypathy and coldolences to the familys. To us the people who did this are the apitamy of cowardice.
I feel particuraly hurt because we are a primary internet base company, several of my writers and a few artist live in the United Kingdom and I haven't heard from any of them if they are ok, as I write this from my office my heart goes out to them.
I'm sure that companies such as Mongoose will feel the chill in the air today and may call the work day off. I believe the Mr. Morris the brainchild of this website is british and is prob just as angry as me. Yes, there are several british game companies out there that I didn't mention as I only mentioned one and my sympathies to you as well.
It may be awhile before I hear from part of my staff because of these attacks. And while you may say to me "Dan, what does this have to do with gaming?" Well gamers are a social lot, their normally upbeat and happy, until something like this happens, then it makes it hard for like a dm even if he accidentily correlates a monster with terrorism. It simply brings back the memories. Games like Modern d20, some superhero games and such will be susceptiable to this. So no one wants to play these type games because it dredges up memories. some people after today may not want to touch a game system that uses these elements, again relating to the memories of today.
But I say to you to defy those memories and keep playing your favorite game systems. Sure, as I said, there will be touch moments when the GM or player will say something, do something that will bring up the terrorist attacks in londorn or madrid last year or 911 for us americans. Games are a healthy outlet and allowing one or few to get things out. While the games mentioned above may not be touched for a week or two, you can bet that gamers will be doing things in character and out of character to get it out of their system. That is good! I hope as a gamer that we can show respect for our fellow game companies that may have been impacted by these terrorist acts. We as gamers, an intellectual social group must keep our gaming groups together with cohesiveness, humor and yes a touch of human emotion. It would trouble me deeply even if my writers or artist knew someone today that died from the attacks. Naturally, it would trouble me more it they my artist or writers, but gamers are a very close group. I have had the wonderful oppurtuntie to say hi to gamers via internet, and maybe only speak a few lines to them, yet they had nothing to do with my game. I have had some great inspirations from such people who just came into an online game spoke a few lines and left.
I will put faith in God today and hope that as the day progresses, that the count remains low and that everyone come out ok. As a person, I don't condone these acts of cowardly violence. This is how I relate it, if your fighter is mad at the wizard for casting a spell that did damage to him somehow, you don't go bash in the cleric's head (the methaphor being the innocent), you first tell the wizard why your mad and then if he shrugs you commence to beat him. I would like all game companies, persons and such to stand behind my little company Black Dagger Game Designs in their stern decisions that real violence by terroism is not the answer. Please speak out either by replying to this post or making announements at your web board. And please keep playing those modern d20 games, just if things get tense take a break. I thank everyone for allowing me to make a correlation between terrorism and gaming. Again, my company wishes to express the utmost sympathy towards the United Kingdom. God speed and be safe.
