Awesome - looking forward to seeing what you do!I had a project on the backburner WAITING for news like this.
I know I could have done complex layouts, but don't have the experience with that.
Being able to work with 5e, 5e24, LevelUp and Black Flag all at once, simply, is wonderful.
It's kind of incredible how the release of the SRD into Creative Commons not only ended the OGL crisis but took the legs out from under the ORC License as well. I had planned to start publishing under ORC butWhen the OGL debacle happened, we saw a lot of companies work on their own OGL. Then WotC released it to CC and I think since then, most people want that over an OGL. It's much simpler and easier. So this move is not surprising.
I mean, I think the terms of ORC cut it's own legs out from under it.It's kind of incredible how the release of the SRD into Creative Commons not only ended the OGL crisis but took the legs out from under the ORC License as well. I had planned to start publishing under ORC but
Any OGL is going to be more restrictive than CC though, right? So wouldn't every OGL essentially do that?I mean, I think the terms of ORC cut it's own legs out from under it.
The ORC license is a lot less attractive than the OG OGL, IMO. I wouldn't see the point to spending the energy publishing something under it as a third party.Any OGL is going to be more restrictive than CC though, right? So wouldn't every OGL essentially do that?
