Can a wight drain with each attack? I thought it was once per round, tops. At least, that's what it is for vampires.

According to the wight template in Savage Species, its with each natural attack. Gnarly, huh.

Ok, here's the next wrathful wyrm. This time its a green dragon with a proclivity for natural attacks.

In an attempt to strengthen her offspring, an enterprising green dragon female by the name of Hendreshkevex, sought out and mated with a wide variety of monstrous beasts. When her eggs hatched, the majority of her offspring were deformed abominations fit only for destruction, all save one. Dremthexigal, whose father had been a very large and aggressive troll, tore through the leathery hide of his egg to emerge whole and hale into an unsuspecting world.

Hendreshkevex was greatly pleased by her sole offspring, the wyrmling was exceedingly robust, and was armed with overly large claws and teeth. After a few practical, albeit cruel experiments the dragoness learned that her get had inherited its father’s rapid healing, and his ferocious disposition to match

Dremthexigal grew to maturity at his mother’s side, learning from the powerful green wyrm, and honing his skills. It was soon apparent that Dremthexigal’s trollish ancestry had dulled his wits some, and the young dragon had little patience for subtlety or tactics. He preferred to simply attack his foes in the most direct fashion and rend them to pieces with his claws and teeth.

As Dremthexigal grew in power it soon became apparent that he and his mother could no longer share their forest home. Pride in her powerful offspring was soon replaced by fear and mistrust, as Hendreshkevex came to the realization that she could not best Dremthexigal in physical combat. Dremthexigal was also keenly aware of his mother’s physical shortcomings, but feared her arcane ability, and her grasp of complicated combat maneuvers. Instead of challenging Hendreshkevex for domain over their forest, Dremthexigal showed a remarkable amount of wisdom and quietly left one day when his mother was away hunting.

Dremthexigal did not roam for long after leaving the forest of his birth, settling in the first large wooded area he could find. He ended up in the Wood of Sharp Teeth on Faerun’s sword coast, and there he set out to become the undisputed master of his new home.

The Wood of Sharp Teeth is home to dozens of tribes of hobgoblins, and these militaristic goblinoids spend most of their time fighting each other, but occasionally band together to raid nearby human towns and settlements. Dremthexigal found the hobgoblins intriguing, respecting their discipline and devotion to combat. The young green dragon decided that the warlike humanoids would make perfect servants, and began to systematically kill and devour the chieftain of each hobgoblin tribe. Leaderless, the hobgoblins were easily cowed into serving Dremthexigal, and in the last few years the young dragon has been whipping his small army of goblinoids into shape. He has no immediate plans for conquest outside of the Wood of Sharp Teeth, but that could certainly change and spell disaster for neighboring civilized communities of humans and elves.

Appearance

Dremthexigal is a large and brutish specimen of his species. His trollish heritage has granted him tremendous strength and endurance, but has marred the inherent grace of his draconic form. Dremthexigal’s body is shorter than most of his kind and his tail is stunted, as are his wings. His snout is blunt and tapered, reminiscent of the famous troll proboscis, but is filled with a double row of jagged shearing teeth. Dremthexigal’s coloration is slightly mottled, with patches of yellow and brown among the glittering emerald of his scales. All in all, Dremthexigal is a rather ugly dragon, although still terrible and awe-inspiring.

Tactics

Dremthexigal has little patience for complicated tactics, especially those that favor subterfuge over action. In his estimation, if a problem cannot be overcome by tearing it to pieces, then it is simply not worth bothering with. Although unsubtle in the extreme, Dremthexigal has mastered the art of draconic physical combat. Using his increased strength and speed, he has learned to get every ounce of destructive power out of his claws and teeth. For this reason he has been able to overcome older wyrms, who thought the smaller dragon would be an easy target. He is smart enough to let powerful opponents to get in close, so that he can bring his formidable natural armaments to bear.

Dremthexigal’s most prestigious kill to date was a mature adult red dragon named Blashkesessk, who was foolish enough to engage in melee with his smaller opponent. Dremthexigal reduced Blashkesessk to bloody chunks within minutes, tearing into the larger dragon with unrivaled ferocity and rending his flesh over and over again. Since then, Dremthexigal has remained unchallenged by other dragons.

Lair

Dremthexigal does not have a fixed lair, as he considers the whole of the Wood of Sharp Teeth his domain. He sometimes lairs in a large wooden fort in the northern end of the forest, which once belonged to a particularly large tribe of hobgoblins, the hobgoblins now serve Dremthexigal, and the dragon uses their fort to store his hoard.

Wrathful Wyrms

This thread is very interesting to me, as my players play in a world where dragons are the undisputed masters, and they seek to overthrow them, so I might make use of the denizens of this thread, with the wight black dragon most likely to make an appearance.
