Blackmoor 3rd ed?

Last I heard, Dave recovered and is doing quite well.

Just a quibble - Dave Arneson (As someone with an odd last name, I always hate it when someone mispells someone elses).

Anyway, it will be very cool to see. Though I thought he sold the writes to it to TSR (where it ended up in Mystara). I guess WOTC gave 'em back (they did with Metamorphasis Alpha & Jim Ward).

I have the Mystara Blackmoor modules. Very odd, but cool too.

Not sure, but I dont believe Arneson ever sold the rights to TSR. I know there was some Blackmoor stuff quite a while ago that Dave had a hand in for TSR, but I believe that was just Dave doing some work for them. To my knowledge he never relinquished the rights to Blackmoor.

I would rather see the old First Fantasy Campaign updated to D20 rather than the DA series of modules. I never did understand why they decided to shoehorn Blackmoor into Mystara in the first place.

If he was going to redo Blackmoor he might as well start with the original setting.
