What are the differences between the 3e 240 page Campaign Setting and the 3e 240 page Players Guide? I've got the CS already.

They are two quite different sourcebooks. The Player's Guide includes 3 new classes, 4 Prcs, new skills, feats, spells and equipment/magic items.

What I find most interesting about the Player's Guide though are the last 4 chapters going into more details about the churches, noble houses and other organizations of Blackmoor. I also really like the idea of the option of becoming an apprentice of one of the members of the Regency Council. This is something I would have liked to see expanded to more of the Blackmoor NPCs since I think that is quite a prominent part of the setting.

Edit: To be fair, I havent made much use of this book in my own games so far. However, your question made me go back and look through the book again. The information there might be more relevant for my recently started campaign than the previous ones actually :)

I find it interesting that the pdfs are still in sale now in February 2010. Does that mean the lisence is still active?

One year has passed since the Blackmoor lisence expired.

The 4E sourcebook is going for 20$ over at Paizo.

Various companies are working to produce "clones" of the Blackmoor setting, but these are still to see the the light of day.

WotC has so far not shown any interest in doing anything with this lisence.

The fans are still out there, enjoying what Dave Arneson gave us.
