Blackmoor Questions

Nope you didn't miss it, we did. I suggest using the following for starting gold packages:

Arcane warrior = 6d4 x 10 (150 gp)
Noble = 6d6 x 10 (210 gp)
Wokan = 2d4 x 10 (50 gp)

The Nagpa and others from Mystara

I'm sure many people recognize Blackmoor as being attributed to being the pre-Mystara world. Is it the vision to include aspects from the Mystara version on Blackmoor into the new version of Blackmoor?

I'm wondering about the Nagpa. A race of vulturemen who were cursed long ago, probably around Blackmoor time, from the Msytara setting.

Might we see them and other Msytara monsters creeping into Blackmoor release. (Having already noticed thouls and beastmen)?

The notation of exotic in that case is due to the racial specialization. Many humans living near the Cumasti prefer the blade to the longsword. We wrote that stuff before Complete Warrior was released. If you think it works better to extend the crit range, be my guest. I don't plan to identify this as a mistake though.

As for the Afridhi, the monster entry was to make sure they were present in a basic form but they are way cooler than just 2nd level fighters. We have alot of plans for them, but didn't want to miss them in the book since they play an important role in the world. Future supplements will detail religious hierarchies, battle tactics and other mysteries. They are quite interesting and nefarious. As for the favored class, you could say they are disadvantaged, but Fighter fits into the culture more than any other.

Hope that helps.

I was hoping they'd be treated like the High Thonians; some human racial traits, and then extra stuff. I dunno what they'd get since I'm still learning the setting. Will they receive more stuff in these future supplements you speak of?

Another question, shall we see a City of the Gods supplement, and the reintroduction of high technology? I like the idea of platemail wearing fighters totting laser guns :D

Very much so. We have the structure fairly well laid out for use in current productions. An Afridhi book is in the plans for 2005.

We are working towards this release next year as well. While not entitled City of the Gods, we will cover the mechanics and technology in the world along with rules for building your own. This is going to be a really cool book.
