Blackmoor Setting?

Almost everyone that I know of that has dealt with WotC legal about things like this has come away pleased. The only "upsetting" part is the fact that they pretty much all consider WotC "slow" to get these things done.

Let's be honest. While a priority for the small publisher, granting permission, and writing contracts granting permission to use their trademarks/copyrighted materials (usually for no pay or royalty for things like this) is NOT a priority for WotC.

While very good about granting permission to use most of their material, WotC understandably has other priorities and is bit slow about it.

Blackmoor was one of at least two settings that vanished when TSR acquired them. Does anybody remember the Islandia setting? At least the Blackmoor setting had some titles see print, Islandia vanished away with ne'er a ripple. (Too bad I had enjoyed the setting when it was the property of The Companions, but Roger E. Moore apparently took exception to the fact that the villains were actually running around doing evil things rather than sitting in their dungeon waiting to be slaughtered... This was abot the same time that their R.I.P. game became vaporware.)

The Auld Grump, who still owns Curse on Hareth and Brotherhoood of the Bolt/Plague of Terror...
Yes, I remember the Islandia stuff from the Companions. Peter and John wrote some great stuff. I was lucky enough to have Wm. John Wheeler as my DM for a while as we played our way through Street of Gems and Gems for Death
I also own a complete set of The Companions adventures. They are treasures.
