What happens if a non-evil cleric cast Blasphemy or any of the similar spells. Does he suffer the full effects of the spell?

Seeing as how the caster would be inside area affected by the spell, the caster would be subject to the effects of the spell if he/she is non-evil. Since the spell states that the creatures affected depends on their HD vs. the caster's level, there's a chance that the caster may not be affected if the caster's character level exceeds his/her caster level.DM with a vengence said:What happens if a non-evil cleric cast Blasphemy or any of the similar spells. I'd hope that if the player put enough thought into doing those tricks that he'd at least realize what he was about to do to himself.Hypersmurf said:Whereas, if he's pulling ioun stone / prayer bead / Heirophant tricks - or reading the spell off a scroll with a high caster level - he could end up killing himself
I've Deafened myself with a Holy Word before. It beat the alternative, at the time
