Hummm... Something is wrong, here... Half-Plate is +7 AC, but with Dex. 16 (+3), Max. Dex. +0, this is non-magical? At seventh level?

Maybe you meant +7 Half=Plate? +5 is as high as 3e goes, anymore... Better make it +5 and give him an Amulet of Natural Armor +2? Then Ac 24.

I think he meant Half-Plate. Provides +7 AC Bonus and negates any dex bonus. Yes there are better choices for 7th-level characters, but it was in the style of Zaitoichi
