Same. I still have the lightbulb icon, and it switches between light and dark mode for me.

If you didn't see it already, that problem has its own thread: Did the Ads Recently Change on this Site (New Pop Ups).I've also got the intrusive ad pop-ups on every page.
Regarding the bright/dark mode problem, for me as a user it seems to work fine - both on PC/Windows and on my mobile devices (iPhone, iPad).

A Title Much Cooler Than Anything on the Old Site
Didn't realize there was a dark mode. Tried it out. I prefer the dark mode but I find that when I click the alerts (the bell icon in the upper right menu bar), there is no highlighting to distinguish the new alerts from the old ones when in dark mode, so I switched back to light mode. I rely on the alerts to keep me logged in and checking for updates to threads I follow like Pavlov's dogs pushing pedals for biscuits.
