Blinding a Vampire

Is it possible to blind a Vampire with Blindness/Deafness spell?

This spell is supposed to have as target a living creature and, vampires, are undead.
But I don' see a good reason (but the rules) that really make me believe that this spell won't work on vampires.

What do you think?

I wouldn't allow it. It is a necromancy spell that calls upon the powers of unlife to cause blindness in a living creature. Not only is a vampire not a valid target, it could possibly be healed by this spell...but that's a lot more debateable than the original question.

It won't work for two reasons.

One - as you note, the vampire is an invalid target. But let's say we ignore that, and rewrite the target line as 'One creature' instead of 'One living creature'.

Two - the spell has a Fortitude save, and does not affect objects; therefore undead (like vampires) are immune to it.

Sorry about my english! :heh:
You're English is fine. Based on the use of comments above, I'd say you were from Germany (using Thanee as a baseline :p ), but the name itself suggests a Spanish-speaking country. :)

That's why you use glitterdust to blind the vampire. :p

That looks like it would work fine, aside from their fairly high will save.
