Something to vent out ,the story of how a vampire romance broke a west march server.

It pays to know what you really want to get out of the discussion before you go in - and "but my character would..." needs to not be part of the conversation.
This. Your character is not a person. If your character choices are creating tension, then that needs to be addressed.

It’s impossible to judge the events of the OP based on one person’s account, except that’s obvious miscommunication is at the heart of it, and drama ensued.

This is the most high school campaign I have ever heard of.

And I run the D&D Club at a high school.

Somewhat of a digression, but...

I briefly ran some games for a high school group. One participant was a textbook attention-seeking, "my character would" sort of disruptor.

It was the first time I used the PvP rule that I attribute to former Enworlder @iserith: the target of any PvP decides the outcome. No dice are rolled; the target simply adjudicates.

It worked brilliantly. All of the disruptors attempts to be disruptive just kind of fizzled and the game went on.

(PvP is a different case than the situation in this thread, but of the same general "dealing with immature players" theme.)
