Blinding Speed [epic]

Hey...

The epic feat, Blinding Speed allows to you act as being hasted for 5 rounds each day...

Is this a 'spell-like', 'supernatural', or 'extraordinary' ability?

Hmm, as it's just an [EPIC] feat with no other tags, and it doesn't specify elsewise. It should be Extraordinary.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong though :).

The real reason i'm asking... is would this feat be useable inside a antimagic field?

Well, you asked the right question to determine that, it's just not answered in the books. DM's call, that's why they wear the zebra shirts.

I would say it is extraordinary. There are many feats that enhance/add onto current spell-like or supernatural abilities, such as Turning, but I don't know of any that grant new spell-like or supernatural abilities off the top of my head.

Extraordinary. If it says "act as if hasted" (don't have it on me, so can't double check), then it definitely is Ex.

If we start ruling feats as supernatural, what, no spring attack in an AMF? The line gets all fuzzy, which feats are super, which extra, blah blah and more confusion.

They are all extraordinary.

Concur. This is a natural extension of the note in ELH about the epic skill uses being extraordinary abilities. Despite what you might think, an epic character can climb across a perfectly smooth ceiling even in an antimagic field ... so I don't know why that same field should keep him from getting his extra partial action every round.

Burst of Speed

My view of burst of speed (a round of 'haste' 5 times per day) is that it reflects a burst of adrenaline, where you can push yourself to get that extra little bit out of your body a few times a day.
This is just a practiced ability (Feat) that doesn't involve any arcane or divine magic at all.
