Rigor mortis does tend to make your writing a bit stiff.

Seriously, if you blog to be noticed, you'll burn out. If you blog because you want to get your thoughts done, you'll last. Blog about what interests you and not only will your blogging continue, you'll get an audience. If you do it well, a large audience.

He stopped because his eyes were failing, in his late 30s I think - it was rather unfortunate for us, since he had a rather stellar career afterward.
