My housemate bought a booster pack yesterday - I have to say, most of the pieces looked like a step backward in quality from War of the Dragon Queen or War Drums. Looked more along the lines of Harbinger...the Marilith has a really goofy expression on her face, and the dude with the mancatcher (can't recall his name off the top off my head) barely looked human...

I have been opening some this evening... Pit Fiend looks great... better than photos. Fire Giant guy looks worse than photos. Some of the commons are not so great paints but I tend to add touch up paint to commons (to make them nicer, and to add varying colors to differentiate them from each other - easier on the battle mat to keep up with).

Overall, I am quite thrilled with what I have so far. Some rare duplicates but none that bother me (2 succubi, 2 horned devils, 2 mounted horse guys, 2 owlbears, 2 Kolygarut)... so a very good pull altogether. Of the rares that I didn't get, I would really have liked to get a Chasme, Lillend, and one of those Air Genasi guys... The rest I could pass on if need be.

 :D  :)

1) I agree. the Pit Fiend is great.
2) That's disappointing - I haven't seen the Fire Giant yet, but I liked the look of him in the gallery!
3) Got it, got her (wow), got two (blah).

My girlfriend was just perusing my new minis and came up with a great name for the Green Slaad: Kermit the Hulk.

:D

I repainted my green slaad so he doesn't look like frickin Kermit. You're right. NOW he's actually scary with solid yellow eyes and blood on his claws.
