Bloomington Illinois FLGS?

First Post
I'm visiting home after a couple of years absence. Last time I was there the FLGS of my childhood, Adventureland, was gone. I've tried google searches and haven't found much but I'm holding out hope that it's moved (again).

If Adventureland is no more, what are the good stores nowadays (if any)?

Not going to help with your question, I'm afraid, but I have a question of my own for you - do you remember a comic book/book store there called Dreamth?

UPDATE: Used my own expert Google-Fu, and I'm afraid it isn't good news. It looks like Adventureland closed down. And a Yahoo! phone book search turned up a few things in Peoria and Champaign, but nothing much in Bloomington/Normal aside from the "Galaxy of Heroes" joint on the ISU campus mentioned in this old ENWorld thread from 2004 .

UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: I just now realized you were the OP in that old thread, too. Doh! :o

pogre beat me to it. Gryfalia's Aerie is currently the only gaming store in town. The store has some gaming space and they carry RPGs, Board Games and Collectible Card and Mini Games.

I'll be playing in a D&D Minis tournament there Friday, Dec. 29th. :)

Wow John,

I was just going through that 2004 thread and discovered you're an old Titan.

Hmm, I'm actually an ISU Redbird (ISU '93). :)

I'm not sure how I would have led people to believe I"m a Titan. Perhaps I was too embarrassed to say I went to ISU and said I went to IWU instead. Yeah, probably that ;).

I did take piano lessons at IWU when I was in grade school.

I used to have an ISU Redbirds sweatshirt that also had Snoopy on it - which was, I must admit, the feature I got it for. ;)

Not sure if I said too much after my question, so I'll ask again - Anone else here remember Dreamth?

Sorry Torm, that does not ring a bell. Where was it located?

I remember a short-lived hobby store where the army surplus store is now. Remarkable only because I used to go in there and watch Timothy Bradstreet work on his art pieces. He was a full-time employee in the store.
