Blue steel... what's that then?

Mechanically, haven't heard of Blue Steel, but there are two things quite similar:

- Red Steel: from the Red Steel (duh!) setting. This red metal can bypass any material-based damage reduction, and also count as magic weapons for DR purposes (quickly adapting from 2e).

- Blue Ice: from Frostburn, this is ice that can be forged into weapons and armor.

In Eberron there is the...uh...silver flame iron, it's kinda bluey purpley green.

Old planescape had greensteel, which ignored the enhancement reduction caused by being removed from the plane of origin. I think that system was scrapped as unneccessary bookkeeping.

My bet is it is either flavor, or something that he made up for his campaign. I would look into it tho, you never know what it COULD do...
