Nah. JPM gets all spells, which works fine for me.

JPM can't recover spells, though, and suffers from lower IL and CL compared to a straight martial adept or spellcaster. So IMHO you need to rein in something.

Nah. You have to spend slots to use both maneuvers and spells, which, given the limited number of slots, is a major issue. And as I said before:

Initial thoughts: per-encounter spellcasting can be way powerful, but the Int requirement results in MAD which pulls it back. I also tend not to have many encounters per day.​

In combat, when you need to spend actions to recover them. Outside of combat, with long lasting or utility spells... if JPW has greater magic weapon, everyone has greater magic weapon. If he has clairaudience/clairvoyance, he can map out everything within 400 ft + 40 ft./level.

Of course, you could limit spellcasting to in-combat only... but I think limiting the spell list would be a better way to go (perhaps not necessarily by building a whole new list, but just saying "Sor/Wiz spells, but instantaneous only" or something like that).

Well, like I said on CM, out-of-encounter casting would count against your spells for the next encounter (and no refreshing of spells outside encounters either). This could lead to oddities ("someone start a fight so I can get my spells back!") but I should be able to handle that.

Out-of-encounter casting and buffs: if you cast a spell that has an extended duration, you do not regain the maneuver slot expended until the spell wears off.
