Bombarded with spam threads?

These people are the only ones I block. If I see several threads all of a sudden pop up, I just block the poster and refresh. I'm not sure it is that big a deal, the mods do a good job on this site clearing up rather fast.

When you use an aggregator like Feedly as I do, you see all of them before they can be cleared out. If you don’t use an aggregator, you might not be aware of how many there are because the team does clear them out. It felt like one of those DdoS attacks, there were so many. But hopefully it’s trailing off. There were only two in my feed this morning.

Reporting them is fine.

Eventually, as we (and others) ban such posters, they get picked up on blacklists, and automatic systems are able to catch them for us. It just takes a bit so we don't get false hits that get in the way of real users.
