Bonus Spells and Multi-class spellcasters

So, there are a number of ways of getting extra spells known or adding extra spells to your class spell list. But what if you have more than one spellcasting class?

For instance, if you're an Ultimate Magus 10 and decide to finish your progression in Wyrm Wizard, does Spell Research add spells to your Wizard spellbook, your Sorcerer spells known, or both? If you take the Arcane Disciple feat, do you gain access to the Domain with both classes?

In a Gestalt game, what happens if you become a Rainbow Servant?

The Pathfinder Savant actually specifies that you add the spells granted by Esoteric Magic to your spell list from multiple base spellcasting classes.

In this case it looks like Spell Research needs to be applied to the spell list of a single class. Ultimate Magus can't count because it doesn't combine the different casting types. It simply advances them on their own as per the table.

Assuming the character is a Sorcerer/Wizard, I'd recommend adding a spell to the Sorc list then using Scribe Scroll to add it to the Wizard's list. There's probably a cheaper and easier way to do it, but I can't think of it right now.

Yes. I wasn't thinking to apply them to Ultimate Magus, any more than I would think you could apply the Wyrm Wizard's "+1 spellcasting" to Ultimate Magus. I'm strictly concerned with the effects of the Spell Research ability.

Sorcerer/Wizard was the example I used, but the character I have in mind would more likely be a Witch//Sorcerer or Witch//Beguiler. My main problem is getting the permanency and contigency spells as a Witch without sacrificing Witch class levels, and then adding some Witch spells to Sorcerer or Beguiler. Pathfinder Savant does what I want perfectly, but it's problematic in other ways.

As far as I know, there isn't any way to increase the number of spells known for spontaneous casters, other than by gaining levels. Spell research can invent new spells, and so give you access to a different spell to add to a spell list, but that doesn't increase the actual number of Bard or Sorcerer spells known of any given level.

Or am I missing something?

I'm not referring to the spell research rules. I'm referring to the Spell Research class ability of the Wyrm Wizard PrC-- Dragon Magic page 55-- and abilities like it, that add spells from other spell lists to your class spell list and/or spells known.

The right prestige classes grant bonus spells known.

The Extra Spell and Extra Slot feats work for spontaneous casters. If one wants to absolutely cheese it then using the Chameleon's floating feat to add spells is doable under the rules. There's an argument whether it's intended to allow that, by by RAW it does. Use the feat to learn a spell, copy that spell into a Blessed Book, then switch the spell known the next day and repeat.

Another question. Our theoretical Wiz 3/Sor 3/Ultimate Magus 10 decides to take levels in Wyrm Wizard. Since Spell Research doesn't add spells to both class lists, can he alternate which class gets the spells?
