Book of Exalted Deed : Mature ?

This will probably the opposite of the book of vile darkness.

Does someone has the slightest idea of WHY this may be called mature ?

I'm clueless about this.

Yeah, I noticed that too... I can't imagine why it would mature unless some of the elements in the book refer to vile things and how to overcome them.

I wonder who's writing it...

I was wondering the same thing, myself.

Maybe (and this is just about the ONLY thing I can think of), they're throwing the Mature label on Book of Exalted Deeds because they plan on getting into overtly religious topics? Rules and stats for real-world religious institutions, and whatnot? Maybe they hope to avert some of the inevitable outcry, and maintain a sense of seriousness, by saying "this is for responsible and mature readers only"?

That, or BoVD was labelled Mature, and it had good slaes, so they want to keep the bandwagon going. They throw in some rules on celestial/mortal nookie, stamp a label on the cover, and call it a day.

My guess is that it might be with unconventially champions of good, such as a prestige class that's like the infamous Babylonian Temple Prostitutes.

Perhaps it's mature in the sense that Sepulcrave's SH is mature; lots of philosophy on good vs. evil, the nature of divinity, the building of churhces and their effect on a fantasy world, etc.

I doubt it's Monte; he's got his hands full with Arcana Unearthed, and he hasn't even dropped a hint about it. Sounds like a job for Mr. Wyatt.

I'd have to agree with some of the above posts. Defining "Good" can almost get you into the same arguements as defining "Evil".

I would guess it makes all sorts of references to things in the BoVD... like what good organizations/people think about prostitution, drugs, slavery, violence and such.

It also may detail ways to defeat some of the more evil ceremonies and such in BoVD.

I doubt they'd give it "mature" just because it's got religious references and such.
