Incidentally, Baraendur, nice work on those Astral Plane writeups you're doing for WotC's web site. That's good stuff.

Thanks for the compliment. I've actually been somewhat surprised by the number of people who have taken note. Anyway, there's one more part that hasn't been posted, and then there's more stuff for the web I worked on coming down the pike.

It is nice work Darrin. But I just want to see what you did with BoED.

Mum's the word until I've been given the all-clear to talk about it. Even then, aside from some notable contributions (that I can't talk about right now), the bulk of it really is James' book.

I wouldn't have a clue.

To keep the record straight, I wasn't attacking you. :)

I was simply...well..sigil hit the nail on the head.

It just looked so unprofessional to me. Hell, maybe you didn't write the site's summary.

I apologize if I angered you or anything.

I will be buying this book though. My paladin has been praying for it for a year.

I'll buy it. It sounds like an interesting book. I prefer reading about good over evil (BoVD) anyway, and it should provide a great read. This is going to be the first post 3.5 book, correct?

PS: The cover looks okay. Remember, it will look better in the final form. The BovD did.

Don't stress it. I didn't read the ad copy closely enough the first time. Besides, if people were to buy the book and then come to the boards to trash it, I wouldn't play the "I post here so how could you say that?" card. I encourage people to go buy the book and then form their own opinions of it. I'm extremely happy with the parts I've seen, so from there, let public opinion fall where it may.

Edit: I actually don't have any idea who wrote the copy for the site, but it does look like a cut and paste error that managed to slip out.

Personally, I'm really looking forward to this. I loved the BoVD so hopefully, I'll be equally impressed with the BoED.

I agree with Pants. I held off for a long time before I got the BovD and I ended up loving it. Very vile. Very dark. I was even thinking that they really need to bring out a 'tome of ultimate good'. And now this! Cool.

But the cover is very dissappointing. Quite bland and boring. Hopefully the insides are as useful and cool as BoVD!
