Book of the Index! I want it!

Book of the Index
A fairly thick book containing a list of every conceivable person, place, thing and topic, listed in alphabetical order. No matter what topic a person wishes to look up, it can be found by flipping the pages of this book. Next to each topic is the name of another book that contains information about that topic. The Index always refers to the nearest book with substantial relevant information. If there is no relevant book in the library where the Index is, it will specify a book in another location, as near as possible. For example:
Spies, Black Marches: "Known Networks of the North", Bard Keep Library

Well, while it won't fill a whole book, an index for PHB, DMG and MM together would be great.

Slightly off topic, but does such an index exist?
