It sounds kind of cool, but I don't really have any ideas. Can you give some more detail about the pulp hero? Like- does he have a signature weapon or ability (some pistols he uses, a martial artist, or something?)

I think that what you are looking for is called, Doc Sidhe.

I belive that it has one sequel.
