Bookmooch?

So we FINALLY put up our wall of bookshelves, and immediately covered it with books, video games, DVDS, more books, graphic novels, action figures and (ahem) my little ponies.

Some of our books suck. Hand me downs, dollar purchases, recommended and reviled, etc. So the gf has been putting them on bookmooch.com, and its worked of so far, but needs more fantasy and needs some graphic novels!

Are any of youse guys on bookmooch or have books you want to unload?

Bookmooch is a low-cost trading option, you pay to mail out books to the moochers, but you can then mooch for free. The point system works so that you can always mooch a little ahead, but the community seems pretty good and we haven't had any problems yet. Larger more expensive books can be valued at more than one point, and international shipping is optional only and also gives extra points.

I'm really just pimping it here because I'm assuming some of you have book collections I'd like to raid. And its possible that we have some stuff that we're parting with that you want like the old Blish Star Treks adaptations or trashy teen nonsense. Not everything we are trading is up yet, because we don't want to have to mail out dozens of books a week.

But if some of you create wishlists we can looksee and create reserves for each other.

I've never heard of bookmooch, but I use paperbackswap which sounds like pretty much the same idea.
