Boots of Teleportation

Awesome item, but I've got a few questions about it. I had someone tell me that since it states that it only affects your "speed", that an extra movement added by running or items is not included in the teleport. So if you had Eladrin Armor, and wound up with a move speed of 9, and ran....for a total of speed 11, that you would still only teleport 6 squares of it, 6 being your original move speed.

I wouldn't allow running personally, but the others I'd be ok with, especially with a level 28 item that you likely won't get until the last couple levels of the game.

You can get it as early as level 24 per the treasure parcel guidelines. That's the "last" seven levels of the game.

Regardless, I didn't actually see any questions by the OP, but I assume they were (1) does running affect the boots, and (2) does Eladrin armor affect the boots. My answer is 'no' to 1 and yes to 2. Eladrin armor increases teleports by X. So, the boots give you teleport 6 and the armor increases that to 6+X.

Teleportation has a set "speed" and there's no "running" with it. There are, however, a number of items that can boost your teleport distance. Off the top of my head the Eladrin Boots, Eladrin Ring of Passage, and the Dimensional Pet Familiar.
