I believe the one closest to me is closing as well. I actually preferred it to B&N, so it was often my first stop when book/jazz CD shopping.

Also not just in America too, Borders in Aus has also gone into receivership as has a smaller book shop chain called Angus and Robinson (Who have been around in Australia for a VERY long time).

2500 employees may lose their jobs.
