[BoVD] Shadow Demon

Is it just me or is there something wrong with the Shadow Demon? Its primary tactic in combat seems to be to blind itself via a Darkness special ability, and the start attacking foes it can't see. Top it off by not having the Blind-fight feat, and you have a pretty silly foe.

Apart from that though, it is pretty tough. Anyone have ideas on how it should work? Or should I just give it 7 levels of spell caster so it can get Devil's Sight and be able to see in its own darkness?

Hmm... It has the Darkness Enhancement (Ex) ability, which gives it bonuses if it's in total darkness - but apparently, that's all it has that helps here (i.e., it has nothing like seeing in darkness or anything like that).

Hm, oversight anyone? I'd imagine it can see in perfect darkness, they just forgot to put that in its description. Seems reasonable, anyhow.

You can always use the version in the Tomb of Horrors. Not as tough, but it has blind-fight.
