Brainstorming: the Meat-Pit

Since no one is supposed to know what's really in the meat-pits, the characters would need to evade assassination once their job is done?

Now I think it's time to start brainstorming specific areas in the pit.

First off, the prisoners are going to need cells to sleep in. Smuggled contraband might make for good hidden treasures to find under the mattresses. I'll probably look at layouts of modern prisons to figure out the holding area.

There is going to need to be a supply room containing all the tools needed for harvesting the meat. Lots of blades and other potential weapons for rioting prisoners to get their hands on. It would be a good place to hide an enchanted 'Flesh Seeker' weapon.

There will probably be separate rooms for each of the different varieties of meats that are grown; a beef room, a pork room, etc.
Then there can be experimental areas; an udder room, a limb room, and finally, the brain room.

Deep pools of blood or tanks full of fluid would make good hazards.

Also, there is going to need to be a shower area for the workers to clean all the blood off. What sorts of hazards could I have in there?
The floor could be really slippery.
