Breath subsitution?

Yeah, I looked at the metabreath feats in Draconomicon and the breath channeling feats in Races of the Dragon, with no success. Checking the WotC consolidated feat index didn't offer any options, either...
Breath of Unlife seems to be the only thing vaguely similar, which - I believe - converts half the energy from a breath weapon to negative energy...

Spells for that specifically the 4th level Breath Weapon Substitution but no feat. There are metabreath potions as well but those aren't what you're looking for.
Personally I'd take Enervate breath and use it as the basis for an energy substitution feat.

Well, in the vein of the metabreath feats in Draconomicon, I'd suggest the following:
BREATH SUBSTITUTION [METABREATH]
You can modify an energy based breath weapon to use another type of energy instead.
Prerequisites: Con 15, breath weapon, any other metabreath feat
Benefit: Using this feat, you may chose to have your breath weapon inflict a different type of energy (acid, cold, electricity or fire) than it normally does. All other aspects of your breath (size, shape, amount of damage) remain the same.
When you use this feat, add +2 to the number of rounds you must wait before using your breath weapon again.
Special: You cannot apply this feat to a breath weapon that does not use one of the energy types listed above.

Speaking of breath weapons
I remember back in the day green dragons did not breath a cone of corrosive gas but a cloud of choking gas. Has anyone altered the green dragon in that way for 3E or 3.5E? If so please share.
