Sedoc

You begin the longer yet easier route to home. Skirting the woods you think to yourself "Are the legends true that the forest holds the remains of Zantathien, ancient ruler of the Soodoniese Tribes that where amongst the first to settle these lands. Rumor has it they were quite advanced fortheir time." All of a sudden you are jarred from your thoughts by the noise of a thunk, right next to you. You turn and look and see the arrow......
 

[OOC men were fighter types. We are on the road, not in the wild...]

"Whoa! To arms!"
Sedoc and party gather around the wagon and look to where the arrow came from, ready for battle.

Duncan comes riding back hard "Kobolds Mr Sedoc, about 15 all told. I belive they are trying to flank us from the forest side.."

As he speaks you see 10 kobolds running at you from the front

THUUNK...THunk...more arrows come at you from the forest.

What do you do?
 

Seraf packs his belongings and makes his way to the dock to find passage northward to Ritomelan.

pull out his sling, a bunch of 'bullet stones', and start firing at them from the wagon bench.

aims at the archers first - forest I presume
 

Seraf

You head down to the docks. There are three main peirs. The Biggest is just called the Main Pier, Here is where most merchant ships come in to unload and load their goods. Most of the merchants here belong to the merchant guild. On the west peir you can also find merchants, usually from smaller companies or independants. The East peir is reserved for non commercial craft. The Barge master is located just north of the Main Pier.
 

Sedoc

You and your men have won the initiative. You aim for the woods and fire at one of the kobolds and you hit with perfect aim and down goes one. Duncan on horse wilds around and charges the kobolds. Harold charges the archers knowing that kobolds are much better archers then anything else.

Remarkably in the first volley sent back by the kobolds none are hit.
You score another as Harold reaches the first...with a massive blow from his bastard sword he dispatches his first.Duncan and his mount also kill two.

The kobold archers miss but Duncan gets hit by a glancing blow from a Bigger Kobold.
You bring down your Kobold with another masterful shot. Harold Misses as he trips on a root. Duncan brings down another while avoiding all the blows. All the arrows miss as well. Again you hit but dont bring down your oponent but harold does with a devestating blow that splits the kobold in two. Duncan misses as does his mount. The Kobolds now swarm duncan who manages to avoid all but two blows, one kobold gets in a glancing blow but the bigger kobold almost brings him down with a devastating blow. You all miss. Duncan goes down as three kobolds, one bieng the bigger one just pummel him. They then charge the wagon. You bring one down as Harold dispatches the las archer. You dispatch another as harold runs to meet the remaining 6 kobolds. They all miss harold but he slices one down in the initial excange as you bring one down with your sling. HArold is hit as you bring another bullet into score. Harold is hit again But this time he also connects bringing down another as you dispatch one as well. All that remain are The big kobold and one other. They continue the attack, Harold is hit again and is looking like he may drop as you score another mark. Miraculously harold avoinds their blows while bringing down the small kobold, you are not so lucky and miss both . You hit the big kobold causing him to wince but he takes a swing at harold and hits bringing harold to his knees, as the kobold raises his spear to kill harold, harold Srikes upwards with his last strength adn dispatches the kobold with a dagger....

Seraf seeks out the barge master on the main dock. Finding him, we patiently waits until the man finishes his current business, then asks,

"Excuse me sir, I seek to purchase sea passage to Ritomelan. Can you help me?"
