Brett Ratner to direct X-Men 3 (announced 6/6/05)

Why'd they even bother with Ratner with those two penning the story, Uwe Bowell wasn't available?

LOL! Don't give Ratner any ideas. We'll have pages from the comics on screen in between scenes. Or worse yet, clips from the video games.

The appt. of Ratner just makes the entire X-franchise smell of cocaine, poolside cell phone calls, and projected profit spreadsheets. Bleaugh.

Oh... I hope they dye her blonde tresses... :\ (No real issues beyond that… She seemed to be a decent actress on Lost. Though I agree with Taren Seeker on her age and why couldn't they have used the actress that's already played her? Maybe Lucas can show them how to edit the first movie to fix this. )
Well here she is as a brunette, but I dunno how old this is:

I recognize the facial structure... but that is about it. Wow, hardly looks like her from Lost.

I said it before, she might be a tad old to play Kitty Pryde but I have no real complaints. :) (Though I do hope they let her go with her natural hair color.)

Brett Ratner's stock has dropped considerably with me since the high point of Rush Hour. For a few seconds I thought we'd at last found a Hollywood director who could figure out what to do with Jackie.

But since then it's been a steady decline. Had to walk out of Red Dragon and turned off After The Sunset. And The Family Man turned an airplane ride into torture. Even when I wasn't listening to it. It's starting to become apparent that whatever it was that made Rush Hour click had nothing to do with Ratner. He's awful.

Unfortunate news.
