Brilliant Energy and Heavy Fortification.

Does brilliant energy weapon bypass just the armor class of the armor, or does it bypass magic bonus's such as heavy fortification? IE, will a brilliant energy scythe or rapier still score crits/sneak attacks?

I think it bypasses all armors and shields. Go crazy, reaper-boy!

Then again, would incorporeal sneak attacks bypass heavy fortification?

The only thing heavy fortification does is prevent criticals and sneak attacks. This is effect is not related to the AC of the armor, and would work even against brilliant energy weapons or incorporeal attacks.

It bypasses the armor bonuses, including any magical enhancement bonuses. It would not negate the special abilities of the armor, like fortification.

Alejandro, fortification would work against incorporeal touch attacks because it is a force effect.
