Brisbane gamers - Sale at Dailys

First, could the mods please leave this for a couple of days as it is on topic and just to make aware to those of us who mainly use the General Discussion forum.

For the Brisbane gamers who frequent the board, just wanted to let you know of a few interesting things I saw in the city today doing Christmas shopping.

First, the next time you go into Daily Planet, the back wall won't be as filled with RPG material. Seems they are wanting to have some room back and are reclaiming it by offering 2 for 1 books. A lot of the older stuff (and not so old) is now sitting in 3 bins between the 2 shelves full of novels. There is a sign above it to point out which boxes. If you get two books from the bins, you only pay the one that is the more expensive.

Mostly d20, but I saw some GURPS and BESM. There was some Malhavoc S&S imprint still there (Cry Havoc, Mystic Secrets, Anger of Angels), Players Advantage: Rogue and lots of modules. However I think I picked up the best deal - Ancient Kingdoms: Mesopotamia and Codex Arcanis for AU$59.95.

Also, if you are interested in 2ndhand material, Ace Comics and Games has quite a bit as soon as you enter the door, on the left. Saw a lot of Alternity material there, as well as 3e Atlas Seven series (Seven Strongholds, etc) and other Atlas material. A number of Dark Sun boxed sets and other miscellaneous stuff.

I would have bought more, but I am so poor at the moment with Christmas and overseas spending. Hope someone else picks up a good deal at Dailys.

*so there tomorrow.*

I might finally be able to pick up a 3.5 players handbook!

I can't believe I never bought it. I'm the main DM!

Ahh well. I'll be going in for it tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up!

I saw that, and plan to head on in next week when I'm on holidays.

Mind you, I already own all of the Malhavoc stuff they've got there (fanboy that I am), but it's a good way to grab a lot of Green Ronin stuff cheap (and then claim it back on tax next year...).

The only Green Ronin stuff I remember seeing is Fang and Fury and Assassin's Handbook.

There was no WotC material, no FFG, mainly little known d20 publishers and original d20 adventures from Fiery Dragon or Sword and Sorcery.
