Building an undead Treant - Suggestions?

Don't you publish Pathfinder? What a shill :p

Thanks. I'll have to check it out.

I think you're thinking of Erik Mona, not EricNoah...

Lots of nice suggestions in this thread. :D

Limiting oneself to the SRD, I can think of a few ways to do it.

Give a treant enough caster levels to then get the lich template.

Give it the ghost template.

Give it the vampire template.

Give it the skeleton or zombie template.

Some of these "push" the rules a bit, but they should give you a variety of ideas.

What he said. :)

Though you will note that you never see us in the same room at the same time...

And this whole time I thought you parleyed your success in founding this board into a cushy publishing job... :o

2E Ravenloft had the Undead Treant all statted out. Dunno if it made its way into 3E conversion. Maybe someone familiar with 3E Ravenloft knows?

Yes, it was made into the 3.5 era, in Denizens of Dread. A CR 9, blood draining undead tree.

Nah, all along I had a cushy librarian job and that's what I'm still doing! :)

If you have the book Advanced Bestiary by Green Ronin, consider adding the Flesh Plant template to the treant first (easy, as the sample creature is a treant). As this changes the treant's type from Plant to Aberration, it becomes eligible for any number of undead templates, such as corpse creature from the Book of Vile Deeds.
