Burn Notice

Just finished watching the marathon! And I tell ya It sure did get me excited for the premiere tonight! Michael does not mess around! I really hope we get some clues in the first episode about who burned him or at least see Ms. Helfer!

Aww, it was great! I was worried with the previews. One having him mention the job as "do it or we'll kill you," which after last season would've been really annoying for him to have gotten that "far." And the minipreview where he's breaking in and has all the proper guns and gear he needs, no improvising. But the backstory managed to makes sense, and I don't think he'll necessarily be tossing out the duct tape anytime soon (he even used it to reattach that rear view mirror, heh).

I still don't know if they could keep the whole concept going for a third season and beyond, but looks like there's lots of gold to mine this season, at least.

It airs again at 1 am EST for those that missed it. It's worth staying up for if you can. I'm sure there'll be other airings later this week if not.

EDIT: For those that care, it even had a yogurt reference. Tracking them amuses me. I think the only episode last season that had none was the finale, and if you count it as "part 2" of the previous one, then there was a reference each episode.

I really enjoyed it and I liked the idea it wasn't so abrupt in shift like a lot of series do. * Here comes a spoiler warning for those who have yet to see this episode *

These people who want Michael are down right nasty. I mean to constantly put the child out there with none too veiled threats is as cold hearted as you can get. It will be interesting to see how the character of Michael handles a soulless entity that says either join and obey or die.

Obviously, if there's ever a crossover between this and Psych, it will have to include pineapple yogurt at some point.

I love the show- I think its one of the best shows on TV. I haven't seen the new episode yet. It waits upon my DVR.

However, I'm surprised nobody has compared it to another very interesting show featuring a "retired" spy...

The Prisoner.

That is the show I'm constantly reminded of, although Burn Notice is considerably less...weird.
