Butt-Kicking Hong Kong Action!

I'm going to try an write a Wuxia/high fantasy adventure set in Ancient China. After the "D&D is a game where you use miniatures and count spaces vs. D&D is a Roleplaying Game where you play an alter-ego in a fantasy world" threads, I felt inspired to write one of these adventures.

Who knows, when these types of adventures are showing up regularly, maybe Andy Smith will be "persuaded" to release Oriental Adventures in the expanded SRD. :]

After all, one can always hope. :D

Good luck with your writing. I'm always fascinated by ancient Chinese culture... I think it's adventure potential is really overlooked, as most people here in the West go for the Samurai, Ninja, etc of old Japan.

My imaging in my loosely based on Earth homebrew was that ancient China coalesced into 1 huge empire under a great warrior/mage instead of its actual history of 3 kingdoms or 7 kingdoms or 5 kingdoms that were constantly rising, falling & warring with each other. Imagine how powerful they would have been?

I remember a pre-3E game long ago called Dragon Fist. You played martial arts heroes battling against a corrupt emperor, his eunuch sorcerers, and a whole army of mooks.

Last I remember, Green Ronin was working on a new version.
