Oh please help me with your infinite Wisdom/Intelligent/Charisma!!!

Manual of the Planes (if your going to play in the Planes).
I think it's the best book for the Money out there, unless you like the Forgotten Realms.
In that case the Forgotten Realms Campagin Setting would be the best.

Relics and Rituals is great if you want some more spells & magic items (and some cool PrCs - esp. Crypt Lord, prenumbral Lord and Sea Witch).

If you are looking for some adventuring locals (or rather cities to base adventures in and around) I would recomment Hallowfaust:City of the Necromancers - outstanding resource (and moderately priced).

Yes I know those heavily favour the Scarred Lands setting but they are still very good supplements.

For 'core' D&D books I would consider Tome & Blood and Defenders of the Faith as 'must buys' (Song & Silence and Sword & Fist were good IMO but not the equal of these two - I hear Master of the Wild is the best classbook yet though I don't have it so I can't say for sure).

The Psionics Handbook is very well done if you want psi powers in your game (I have it but haven't introduced it to my campaign.....yet ;) ).

Lets see... Creature Collection 2 is easily the best monster book put out to date - plenty of interesting critters - some have a strong Scarred Lands feel but should still be usable regardless of your campaign setting.

Most of the rest of the stuff I have is specifically related to Scarred Lands so I doubt if you would find it of interest (unless you are running/playing in a SL setting in which case I would highly recomend Wise & Wicked and DIvine & Defeated - outstanding)

That's about all I can think of off the top of my head for a 'must buy now' type purchase.

Well, let's see.

I'll second MythandLore on MotP and the FRCS. The Manual of the Planes is, imo, one of the best books WotC has produced for 3e so far - if not the best. And it speaks highly of the Forgotten Realms setting that I consider it useful even for my homebrew world.

I'm also going to make a bold statement here and say that I've found the classbooks very useful in my games. Sword & Fist, Defenders of the Faith, Song & Silence, Masters of the Wild - all good. But Tome & Blood is my personal favorite of the five. You may also want to consider the Psionics Handbook, but (obviously) only if you plan on including psionics in your game.

If you're willing to go third party (and I assume you are since you already have) then I cannot recommend Legions of Hell enough. Staplebound, $15, nicely illustrated, packed full of devils to fight. By far the best third-party supplement I've seen. On the other hand, it might not be quite appropriate for your campaign, I don't know. But I recommend it anyway.

Other than that, nothing really leaps to mind. It looks like you're on the right track already with the Creature Collection - I've also enjoyed the CC2 and Relics & Rituals. Out of the HBG, I loved the alignment test and the background tables, and thought the rest was okay, though aimed more at new gamers (which your post implies that you might be).

The only d20 book I've actually regretted buying was Dragon Lords of Melnibone - I love Moorcock, but this book did nothing for me.

For that matter, I'm currently reading through the Pendragon rules and I regularly buy GURPS books just for the background information. You, on the other hand, may want to use a little more discretion when it comes to spending your money.

Of course, I'm biased towards what I like. You should probably check the review page to get a feel for what's good. And a little better idea of what you're looking for would help us as well.

Magic of Faerun.

Even if you don't play in the Forgotten Realms, it is still incredibly useful.

I really like what Fantasy Flight Games has put out, namely Traps and Treachery and the Seafarer's Handbook. I hear that the Dragonstar stuff is awesome, but I haven't picked any of that stuff up yet.

If your playing in FR then the FRCS is a must, as is Magic of Faerun.
