Good grief...I need to get my eyes checked...when I first read the subject, I thought it was a completely different word...Japanese for ...never mind... *goes to scrub brain*

You could run it very tactically or simply descriptively.

But let's say tactically. And lets use the more complex version of the game: Qarajai.

First of all-

Mounted figures. In teams, each arranged at a 'starting circle'. Then, a certain distance away (lets say 40') is a calf. 40' from that is a flag. Back behind the starting circle are the two scoring areas.

See this diagram:

initiative checks.
Then ride checks for the first guy to run down and scoop up the calf.
Then - the game part- is a series of attempts to try and snatch the calf away from whoever has it. This is kind of rough. But the deal is- opposed strength rolls followed by ride rolls.

Whoever has the calf tries to ride around the flag and deposit the calf at the scoring circle. He has to make ride rolls to get around opposing riders.

Whoever doesn't have the calf tries to get it away from whoever has it. He makes ride checks to interpose his mount in the way of the rider to confound the enemies movement rate. When he gets close enough, he makes opposed strength followed by ride rolls.

And so on.

This is a very rough team sport, too so you could have guys punching each other, bull-rushing, etc.
