But the variation with vodka is "less Brazilian" in some manner, since vodka isn't Brazilian. Cachaça on the other hand is totally Brasilian, it comes from ages, since they started planting sugar cane here, back when we were still a colony.
But what's really important is that you make a drink that pleases you, so it doesn't matter wether it is or isn't caipirinha, as long as you enjoy drinking it.
