Calirification about immediate interrupts

When a power has an immediate interrupt, like Riposte Strike, does the interrupt stop the action its interrupting? If I'm a Rogue and I can use the immediate interrupt secondary attack from Riposte Strike on someone who is attacking, is their attack action stopped or can they continue their attack after I hit them? Thanks to anyone who can help.

They continue the action after your interrupt is resolved. The only way to stop the action is for your interrupt to make the action invalid, such as by knocking them out, getting out of range of their attack, etc.

Or by using Combat Challenge. I believe that negates the intended move.

They continue their action if still capable of doing so, as James said.

The fighter's Combat Superiority is a special case and only applies to movement.

Combat Challenge provides an Immediate Interrupt, Fighters only stop movement on opportunity actions

Ah, sorry. I always think that the motion-stop effect of Combat Superiority is a part of Combat Challenge, for some reason. Just ignore me...
