Campaign Cartographer/Fractal Terrains

Cintra

First Post
I'm finally sitting down to learn to use Campaign Cartographer, and after running through the tutorials, I've started with a world created using Fractal Terrains, then exported to Campaign Cartographer and editing from there. So far, everything's going pretty well, but when I try to add cities or other options from the image Catalog, it doesn't seem to want to put them in. I've followed the steps exactly, and it doesn't seem to be a problem with being zoomed out too far (I zoomed way in). Also, I created a New map in CC2 and added cities to it just fine, and I compared the scale I was seeing there to the amount I zoomed in on the world map, just to be sure I wasn't still at the wrong scale to see my cities etc.

Has anyone else had a problem like this? OR, does anyone know of any online resource for asking this question of CC2 users other than signing up for their mass-mail group?

Thanks for your help!

I really suggest you ask on the yahoo group. I know some people don't like yahoo, but that is where you will find the experts on both FT and CC2 Pro, all in one spot.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cc2-l/

If it is the volume of email from the group you don't like, you can set your preferences to receive a daily digest or not receive any at all, and just read the messages on the group web page. (Sorry if I'm telling you things you already know. Just making sure you know there are some options.)

Alternately, why not just email Profantasy tech support directly?

Just register (which you may have already done) and log in.

Thanks for the advice, Max. Honestly, I've never joined a group like that before so I didn't know it would let me NOT receive hundreds of e-mails a day... Your listing of options was just what I needed.

Yes, I am a member of about 8 Yahoo Groups I regularly check, and if it weren't for that feature to turn off e-mails, I would have gone insane by now... :) Just remember to CHANGE THE SETTINGS in your "Edit my Membership" option in the top right corner when you visit the Yahoo group.

Mail group is wonderful and recomend it. If you use Outlook, just create a rule looking for CC-L in subject and send mesages to sub-folder.:)

But back to your problem, it sounds as if your 'layer' is locked. May want to check to make sure of that.
