Campaign idea -- now with an invitation

Sweet. Let me know what you want to play, and I'll tell you rolling methods and somesuch.

The delay here should give you some ideas of what to expect.

If you still want me, here's what I was thinking of:

I'd like to play a character who is something of a cross between Sherlock Holmes and Indiana Jones....highest stat INT, second CHA, third DEX, STR and WIS don't really matter so much. I was thinking of starting him as a rogue (for skills) or even an expert, then rotate between levels of rogue, fighter, and bard. For fighter levels, I'd be more interested in a monk-like feel than a fighter feel, so I'm pretty sure it'd be leather or no armor. Maybe a sword cane.

My idea for the character is that he served his nation in an intelligence-gathering capacity during the Last War, and now operates privately as a detective. He still harbors great national loyalty, however...I am thinking NG.

Supporting cast:

One brother still working in Intelligence, who can be used by the DM either for hints, or for sending him on missions.

Mr. Hodginston, an occultist (Expert 1) who lodges with him (he cannot afford his own lodgings at 14 Candlewick Street). Hodginston's primary purpose is to allow me to write dialogue, ala Holmes & Watson. :D

Ms. Baker, who lets the rooms at 14 Candlewick.

Anyway, this is a rough idea as I see it.

Raven, that idea sounds pretty durned cool. I've gotten complete character ideas from three of you now, I just need to hear back from the fourth and see what they're playing, then I'll make the announcement of who's playing what and tell you how to do stats and stuff. Shouldn't be more than another day or so (Assuming I can tear myself away from Fable for a little bit, anyways)...

LOL. I just saw Fable today. It looks cool.

You'll note that I didn't name my nation; you can use whichever you like. And I'll be happy to provide other background information to give you NPCs and character hooks related specifically to the type of background I am choosing. Use what you like, when you want to. It's always more fun to play when the DM has some loose strings to pull....! :p

Okay, I've expanded one of my ideas; a 'hunter' design Warforged (ranger) that was employed/paid for by a cult/terrorst organisation (DM's choice), but deserted their 'inhuman' ideals. He might still be running from them, or possibly have tried/succeeded to sign up with their enemies (aforementioned intelligence service, for instance).
