Campaign Planner Forms?

First Post
I was just at RPGNow with debit card ready in sweaty mitts to pick up Campaign Planner, but one of the reviews stated that the product did not use forms, but only created blank printed sheets. Hmm, perhaps I should say, sheets with blanks instead, it looks like I'm worried that blank sheets of paper will come rolling out of my printer...)

Is this in fact the case, or has the product since been updated to forms?

For a product like this forms would almost seem a necessity, at least for me. (If you had ever seen my handwriting you'd know why...:)) Being able to hand a printed legible sheet to the players would be an immense help.

I realize that the forms would of course need to be filled out and printed since unless you have the full version of Acrobat you can't save te modified form, but even so being able to fill them out and print them would be a huge advantage. (An even bigger one would be to have them as a database, but that is way beyond any reasonable expectation...)

Well unless the product has been updated since I purchased it, no, the Campaign Planner doesn't use forms.

At the moment it does not use forms...it may or may not get updated. Phil Reed makes that call for us.

Yeah, the lack of digital input is what has kept me from purchasing this product as well.

The tough part is that I'm guessing it would probably take more time to fix than could be justified by the extra sales.

The Campaign Planner is currently being updated with forms that you can type into. This version will, of course, be sent free to everyone who has already purchased the PDF.

That was fast work -- I just got my notification that the Campaign Planner had be updated to use forms.

Thanks Phil, this will be great since my handwriting is as bad as a doctor. :p

Thanks goes to Jason Dettman for making this happen. Hit www.philipjreed.com and be sure to post a note of thanks to Jason for his donation.

As is mine. Now if I could just find a way to leverage that into the pay of a doctor . . .

Read this post.

Bought it.

Cool!

Thanks for updating! This is a very handy product, and I am recommending this to a few people that I know are starting campaigns.

The Auld Grump, who somehow missed this post for quite some time...
