Better for everyone.

Wow, literally speaking for everyone?

Might want to consider the wisdom in that. You're definitely not speaking for me, and there are several in this very thread that said they are neither tired of the Sword Coast nor do they dislike the Sword Coast. Also, I strongly suspect it's going to sell quite well, but we shall see.

I doubt the SCAG book will retread old material from the APs, that would be kinda disappointing for many people (although maybe not me as much because I haven't bought any APs yet).

Maybe for a few people... but for a lot of people, having all of the post-Sundering material that has already been developed and described for the Heartlands region published together in one place with a whole heap of connective tissue for the other 60% of the area that hasn't yet been covered will probably be very helpful. Now granted, I don't think they're going to 'cut and paste' info out of products like Scourge of the Sword Coast or Princes of the Apocalypse... more likely they would take all the design info they've created for of each of the areas and then re-format them for the book. But it's not like they have to invent all-new info about the areas (which is what a lot of development time and cost would ordinarily have to go to.)
