Campaign Suite Extended - 2 week delay explained

Twin Rose

First Post
Campaign Suite Extended, the next iteration in the Campaign Suite line of Character, Dungeon and world generators has been delayed by 2 weeks. During the data entry process, 2 seperate data base operators did things a little bit differently - and one did things in such a way that I decided that they should all be done that way. He included all the relevant notes and data for each creature, while the other did not. Looking at it, this created a much more robust database, with many possibilities that I really liked, and so we put back the online release by a couple of weeks to get this finalized.

Final beta testing is essentially done. The town and city generators, encounter generators and templates, creature editors, configuration editors and everything else are smoother and faster than ever. I'd like to apologize for the delay to everyone, and thank them for their patience. I can't wait to help make all your games better.

Because Campaign Suite Extended has not yet been released, the $5 price reduction of the classic Campaign Suite is still in place.

We're currently doing some final testing, editting, and cleanup on the default character sheets/statblocks/creature blocks for the release of CSX. This should happen in the next day or so.

I'll be sure and post (on our website, but with links on this thread, perhaps) some new screenshots, sample character sheets, and some cool dungeons before the release to give an idea of the things that CSX can create for your game.

I'll do a formal press release once I'm 100% sure that wednesday is the release date for the online upgrade from CS to CSX. We seem to be on schedule for this release, barring any last minute problems coming up.

With the "stylesheet" design for the XML (XSLT actually) character sheets and other forms of output for CSX, if anyone has any "really cool" character sheets they'd like to see posted on our website - and converted to read CSX data - feel free to email me.
