campaign world intro

After constant harassment from my players and web players I started to pen all of my notes into one large book for a campaign world, I finished the intro or if it was a commercial book a back cover or something. What do you think?

Its written by a halfling (which we call barrow men)

I have walked from the crystal blue waters of the Parasian sea to the Craggy snow covered peaks of the Cartopin Mountains. I have seen the icy snow swept plains of Mus Gia and I have braved the scorching heat of the Crimean sands. I have had meetings with the famous and powerful of kings and I have had discussions with the most diabolical and darkest of creatures of old. I am the dragon finder, the demon slayer, the water bringer and the spider charmer. I have seen much of this world and of its creatures; it is now my time to pass it on. I now look back on my exploits from my meager home and it is Here that I have penned what I have seen and heard along those journeys, although I cant guarantee the validity of all of the stories, I can vouch for the truth of my experiences.
This simple tome is a record of my journeys, what I can remember of them that is. This small work is by no means complete but rather a guide to someone who has the urge to discover what exactly lies beyond that next hill. Fasya is not a small place by any means, with many places still unseen and untouched by many. I have still been able to detail much of the lands ranging from Alora to Hyperia, and yes even some of Mirgaul (where I spent some time there as a Guest of my captors but I will tell of that later.) I hope you find my experiences useful and valuable, for the information may save your skin, may the light and warmth of Aden guide and shine down upon you and may the protection of Sialara bless and keep you.

An advantage of doing this in the first person is that you can always say something like "well, that's how Samviel Carderas percieved it, but that doesn't make it objective truth!"

You can also drop in little clues of Carderas' passage through areas to give the setting more life and help the players connect with it.

Ive been working on this world since 1986 off and on. I actually have a leatherbound book with the history of the world and important events/stories over 120 pages. Ill try to put some up on the story hour. Im also inking a newer map, a large one. Once its done Ill scan it and put it up for the critics!.
