Also-rans save Christmas - Santa and Frosty and all the main holiday characters have been kidnapped. The players will play a team of second-string holiday characters (such as Good King Wenceslas, Godfather Drosselmeyer from The Nutcracker, Minty the Candy Cane that Fell On The Ground, Mr.Fezziwig, the Little Match Girl, or new original characters that they make up themselves; but any new characters shoukd be that level of tangential) assembled to save the main team. Possibly suitable for Toon.

Definitely a Toon or supers game if the players are creating new characters.

The Village of Misfit Prisoners- Toon adventure. It's the Island of Misfit Toys from Rudolph, but it's also the weird island prison from The Prisoner

Into The Mists - Villain campaign. PCs are servants of Vecna trying to corrupt a ruler into being drawn into ravenloft as part of a larger plot by Vecna to take revenge on the dark powers of that place. Possibly they are to follow him into the mists for a second stage of the plan but I don't know what that second stage would be

Are We The Baddies?

The PCs are in the service of a powerful and seemingly benevolent ruler who is trying to improve the lives of his subjects. Thhe party is tasked with various missions, serving and protecting their nation.

But in the course of completing one particularly difficult mission, the party discovers proof that their leader is irredeemably evil, and they’ve been harming others in furtherance of goals that are truly dark. And at this moment, the region is at a tipping point that could decide the fate of nations.

Does the party continue serving their evil overlord? Or do they attempt to right the wrongs they- and others- have done in his name?

Not a bad idea, but definitely a campaign idea where it makes a difference if the party has a paladin. The DM needs to be careful about avoiding paladin entrapment. No paladin, then it's less of a problem as to how the party resolves things.

It’s been noted that Paladins can easily wind up on opposing sides of a war as far back as AD&D. There was an article in The Dragon about Pal v. Pal conflict in something like The Crusades. So if you’re careful about the structure of the party’s missions, even a Paladin can find themselves on “the wrong side”.

A Paladin would definitely have a strong opinion on what happens after the campaign’s plot-twist reveal, though.

Antediluvian - Call of Cthulhu. Scholars researching legendary figures such as Noah, Utnapishtim, and Yu the Engineer eventually discover these flood myths' origin in a billions of years old document left behind by a race of extremophilic entities that inhabited the earth before the surface cooled sufficiently for liquid water to exist and their plan to return the surface to its primordial state

*Toon spoof of Willy Wonka and of First-Person Shooters. The Wonkavision room in Willy Wonka's factory accidentally opens a rift into a hell dimension and monsters start pouring in.

*Earth colonizes Mars but then is devestated by a nuclear war. The PCs are sent from Mars to Earth to reestablish civilization after the radiation has cleared (and once the recivilization project has finally been funded; so possibly years to decades) but must deal with the standard post-apocalyptic raiders and cults and degenerate societies created by wingnut survivalists

*Toon superhero adventure where the protagonists must catch the person who has been using teleportation powers to dine and dash all over the city

*Toon adventure in a flintstones-esque stonepunk setting where they go to the supermarket and the supermarket is just some kind of big indoor hunting preserve
